Participant safety
Simple guidance to help everyone enjoy Bliss Mallathon safely and responsibly.
An indoor event still requires preparation
The Mallathon takes place indoors at Assima Mall. Comfortable conditions reduce heat exposure, but participants should still hydrate, pace themselves, and take breaks when needed.
-
Check your readiness
Do not participate if you feel unwell, feverish, dizzy, or unusually tired. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are recovering from an injury, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before taking part.
-
Warm up and set your pace
Begin gradually, stay at a pace where you remain in control, and cool down after finishing. Wear comfortable athletic shoes and clothing suitable for walking or running.
-
Hydrate responsibly
Drink water before the event and take regular small sips during your activity. Do not wait until you feel very thirsty, and avoid forcing excessive amounts of fluid.
-
Share the route safely
Stay on the designated 6th-floor route, keep a predictable line, allow faster participants to pass, and avoid sudden stops, weaving, pushing, or blocking the path. Keep headphone volume low enough to hear instructions and other participants.
-
Supervise children
Children and participants who need assistance must remain with a responsible parent, guardian, or companion. Keep dependants close in crowded areas and do not allow them to obstruct the route.
-
Respect the mall and instructions
Follow event signs and instructions from organizers and mall security. Use escalators and stairs with care, keep exits and public walkways clear, and dispose of bottles and litter responsibly.
Stop if something feels wrong
Stop immediately and move safely to the side if you experience chest pain, severe shortness of breath, dizziness, faintness, confusion, unusual weakness, or severe pain. Tell an organizer or mall security and do not continue the activity.
For an immediate emergency, call Kuwait emergency services on 112 and state that you are at Assima Mall, 6th floor.
